WHAT: You do not need any experience to participate. This burn is open to anyone who has an interest in learning about prescribed fire and how and when to conduct controlled burns.

OBJECTIVES: Burn 1 acre, hazard fuel reduction, longleaf restoration, and improve wildlife habitat.

WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and long pants made of non-synthetic material. Please bring your own drinking water and gloves (especially for handling the tools). Safety glasses are also recommended.
